The kids and I left the house at 3am, Wednesday morning, to drive to Santa Fe Springs, CA. It took us 4 hours, arriving there at 7am. We stopped off at a Denney's for some breakfast, then headed off to pick up Michael. He was staying at his grandparents house (from his moms side). We visited with Wuanita and Richard for about an hour, then headed off to Knott's Berry Farm. This month is the "Armed Forces" recognition, so Michael was able to get me and him in for free. I only paid $13 per child, for Emilie and Bradley to get in. We couldn't beat that price, so had to take advantage of it, and so I let the kids skip school for that day. Our original plans were to go to Knott's on Thanksgiving day, but Michael thought it would be too crowded, so we changed our plans up a bit and arrived a day earlier. YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Off to a great start.
Here are 2 pictures that were taken at Knott's Berry Farm. We rode the train and had a family shot taken at the front of the park. We had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!! Knott's has changed quite a bit, since the last time I was there. They had a lot of new roller coaster rides that were sooooo much fun. We used to be able to see the Montezuma's Revenge coaster, in plain site, now it is just entangled with 3 other coaster tracks. They have no room to expand the park, so they just keep adding rides, and it gets confusing. We still had tons of fun though, and the park wasn't very crowded at all. We were able to ride rides in no time, maybe only waiting 20 minutes or less, for their huge coasters.
After the park closed, we headed off to see Nana for a while. Nana is Mike's grandma, so she is the kids' great grandma. We stayed and visited for a little over an hour, then headed off to the hotel. We all zonked out from a fun fun day.
