Ok, so the Encore dancers had a performance today. It was the 8 team captains, which Emilie is one of, and we went to a golf course/countryclub for the performance. There is a group of ladies, who were having a meeting there, and we are hoping that they will sponsor the girls. A few of the ladies have already said what great performers our girls are, and they are looking forward to them performing again for them. So, since that was all positive, then maybe something good will come of this. Seems we are doing fundraiser after fundraiser, and it is getting tough to keep up with it all. We really don't know anyone who is willing to help out with our fundraisers, so we have to come up with some different and clever ideas, to keep some money coming in. Right now we are working with scratch off cards, as fundraisers. The owners bought 6 cards (for $6 each) and each card is worth $250. For every space you scratch off, it is worth from .75cents to $3.00. It's a really neat idea, if you "know" people willing to help out. Know what I mean? Plus, with this time of year, it's hard to fundraise for anything.
We will be walking in the Veteran's Day parade tomorrow morning, then the girls are scheduled for 2-3 more performances before Christmas. They will be doing the halftime show, at the Vegas bowl, in a few weeks. The halftime shows are always exciting for the girls, to be performing in front of thousands of people. They performed at the halftime show, at the UNLV vs.BYU football game a few weeks ago, and had a blast. All in fun. I should be in bed now, since we have a very early morning tomorrow, so I'll TTYS!
